Hi Friends,

I just looked at our last update and it was nearly three months ago, yikes! Chris and I have been busy working on our next film, “Run”, a story about a First Nations family dealing with F.A.S.D. (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder). I actually wrote the play version last year and my drama class at Nutana Collegiate performed it at the Hanley Regional Drama Festival. Writing the screenplay has been more challenging than I thought it would be as I’m making some major changes to the script.

Back to football. We’re in the process of setting up our Season of Dreams Rural Tour. This is very, very exciting for us for two reasons. Firstly, Chris and I dreamed of doing a rural tour from the very beginning because the film follows the Hague Panthers, a six- man football team. Secondly, we get to give back to the communities as 60% of the ticket sales go directly back to the local football teams as well as 20% of the DVD sales. The teams that have booked the Season of Dreams Rural Tour so far include the Lumsden Devils, Gull Lake Lions, Biggar Blazers, Nipawin Bears, Lloydminister Raiders, Big River Rebels and the Wynyard Golden Bears.
