November 20, 2007 Update

Dear Friends,

World Premiere CrowdWow, what a night we had a week ago! If you came to the world premiere I want to sincerely thank you for being a part of our special night. I've been digesting what happened over the last eight days and it's finally starting to sink in. I'll never forget what it felt like walking across the stage at TCU Place and watching 1700 people stand up and cheer for our movie Season of Dreams. It was wonderful having my family sitting in the 2nd balcony with my big brother Ken from Chicago.

The movie is what it is, and either people got it or they didn't. Once it ended and we walked off stage and headed towards the lobby, the first person I saw was Peter Olver, one of the stars of the movie. He held out a poster with a sharpie, he wanted my autograph! His mom and dad, Myra and Garth walked over and we had a moment together. The next person I saw was Mitch Fehr with his girlfriend! Seeing these two young men immediately following the screening was a big highlight for me personally.

World Premiere ReceptionThe after party was a chance to thank people and hang out with 250 friends and football fans. George Reed, Al Ford, Bobby Jurasin, Jim Hopson and Glen Suitor were all classy and approachable, thanks guys for being real. The highlight of the after party for me was a chance to talk with Wayne Shaw and his enthusiastic daughter. I actually coached her son football at Marion Graham! Wayne looked so happy and that thrilled me that we made something he was proud of.

For the last week we've started to market the DVD's to the public. We've received a lot of emails wondering where people can buy the DVD. Hugh Vassos has gotten us into the Huskies Store (Midtown Plaza and Market Mall) and the Riders Store in Saskatoon and Regina. Chris and I have set up our website with our web designer (Terry Ouellette) for sales as well. If you want to buy DVD's online just check out our website at www.seasonofdreams.com. (Note: This feature should be finalized on Monday, Nov 26 if not sooner)

What about those Riders! Can you believe the energy and passion our province has for football! I guess you do after seeing Season of Dreams. The Grey Cup is going to be exciting! I'm especially excited for the gentlemen we've met on the team; Matt Dominguez, Scott Schultz, Gene Makowsky, Corey Holmes and Reggie Hunt. I'm also thrilled for Jim Hopson, he's brought a strong vision to the team and for Kent Austin, the architect and head coach of the Riders. Enjoy the game, I know we will!
