Compelling Story

Hi Tom,
Tom Simes' and Chris Funk's Season Of Dreams is an engrossing portrayal of football and its importance to Saskatchewan. It is recommended viewing for anyone who loves football, the province of Saskatchewan, or a compelling story.

Thanks again.

Cheers,

Dedication and Pride

Hello Tom,
My name is Graig Hamilton and I live in Comox, BC. I played football with the University of Regina Rams from 2000 through 2003 and coached at LeBoldus high school in 2004 and 2005. When I returned to Vancouver Island I looked forward to the opportunity to coach here and give back to the community that gave me my start in football. About one week after I returned I was approached by the head coach of a local high school and asked if I would join the coaching staff. I said yes right away. As the season neared we realized that our number of players was quite low. We practiced for a month and eventually had to cancel our season due to lack of commitment. I am positive that if I could have shown this film or even the trailer to these kids our outcome would have been different. I am fiercely proud of my home town and my province, but the dedication and pride that Saskatchewan has for football is matched by no one else in this country. When I watched the trailer I felt tears forming, you really have something special in the works.

Congratulations and Thanks,
Graig Hamilton
PS. Please let me know how I can get a copy of the film.

Lump in my Throat

Hello Tom,
I just viewed the trailer for the movie. Got goose bumps and a lump in my throat!!! I am a woman and don't even play football. ..... can't wait to see the whole movie.

Way to go Tom!!!

Labour of Love

Hey Guys,
I have enjoyed reading about your progress from a bit of a distance here in Toronto. Just wanted to pass along a congrats as you hit the homestretch.

It has obviously been a labour of love and as I churned through my daily grind, reading updates on "Season of Dreams" have provided a constant reminder of why I got into the business.

I'm sure I will get the updates on how and when the general public can get their hands on it...but just make sure of it...so I can drop a hint or two during my work on the CIS.

Again, Congrats and best wishes going forward.

Proud to be from Saskatchewan

Wow! Looks incredible! Really wish I could get back for that premiere, but it just won't work. Anyways, just want to say that it looks like all the time and effort you guys put into this is gonna pay off! I'm sure there's some amazing stories to be told! That preview seriously almost brought tears to my eyes....man, do I miss playing football! Makes me so proud to be from Saskatchewan! I look forward to buying a copy! I assume I can just keep checking the website for info on how to get one? I can't wait! Did any of that Packers/Fighting Irish stuff make it onto this disc...or is there another one to come?

Canadian Football Stories

I just saw the trailer on your website. Wow! In my opinion this is something this country has been starving for. We've needed someone to tell these Canadian football stories. It may be about Saskatchewan, but I can only hope that the film will reach a wide national audience. It looks like a very high quality production. I don't know much about the film business, but I don't see why this couldn't screen at film festivals across the country (might be too late for most of them this year). I will be checking the website regularly for any info regarding availability in theatres or on DVD, or online! Sadly, when I do a web search for "Season of Dreams" and "Saskatchewan" there aren't that many hits. One of the better sports blogs out there covered it here.

Cheers and good luck,

Tom
